Mercedes-Benz unveils fully electric C-Class for first time in Seoul

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the C-Class as a fully electric vehicle for the first time on Monday in Seoul. CEO Ola Källenius praised it as the perfect package of performance, comfort, and technology. The model aims to boost sales and the EV quota for the struggling manufacturer.

At the world premiere in Seoul, Mercedes-Benz's fifth-largest market, CEO Ola Källenius presented the new model. "The perfect overall package of performance, comfort, dynamics, and intelligent technology," he said. The vehicle sets "new standards in the electric mid-size segment," Källenius emphasized.

The car features an aerodynamic silhouette resembling a sports car. More than 1000 points illuminate the distinctive grille, with small Mercedes stars in the headlights. It can travel up to 762 kilometers on a single battery charge.

Mercedes-Benz aims to boost sales and its EV quota with this relaunch of one of its most popular models. Auto analyst Horst Schneider called it "the most important market launch for 2026." "The electric C-Class must succeed if management is to meet its goals," he said.

It is partly inferior to BMW's competitor model, as previously noted.
