Indonesia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has intensified accommodation, transport, and health services for pilgrims ahead of the peak of the 1447 H hajj.

As of Friday, May 8, 2026, 303 groups carrying 117,452 pilgrims and 1,209 staff had departed Indonesia for Saudi Arabia. Of these, 165 groups reached Mecca while another 28 landed in Jeddah.

Ministry spokesman Ichsan Marsha stressed that the focus remains on delivering the best possible services so pilgrims can perform their rites calmly. More than 2.7 million food boxes have been distributed and 969 Bus Shalawat trips have operated in Mecca.
