For Guneet Monga Kapoor, this is her third Oscar nod, building on prior successes with 'The Elephant Whisperers' and 'Period: End of Sentence'. While other Indian entries like Payal Kapadia's 'All We Imagine As Light' did not advance, 'Anuja' underscores the growing international reach of stories rooted in authentic experiences.
