Nike advertises new DFB jersey in New York

Nike has advertised the new German national team jersey with a ship banner in New York. From 2027 the US company will replace Adidas as kit supplier.

On Thursday a ship sailed on the Hudson in front of the New York skyline carrying the banner “Hallo New Jersey”. The poster showed player Jamal Musiala wearing a heavily pixelated jersey whose design Nike has not yet revealed.

The advertising banner refers to the state of New Jersey where the German team played that same evening. With the slogan Nike plays on the English word “Jersey” for shirt.

From 2027 Nike will supply the national team and end the more than 70-year partnership with Adidas. The change secures the US company a prestigious partnership in the rival’s home market.
