Nine Inch Nails and Boys Noize have announced a new collaborative album titled Nine Inch Noize, set for release on April 17. The announcement precedes their joint performance as Nine Inch Noize at Coachella 2026 on April 11. A billboard teasing the album appeared on the route to Indio, California.
Nine Inch Nails revealed the album on Instagram on April 8, labeling it HALO 38 in line with the band's sequential release numbering. The project builds on prior collaborations between Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, and Boys Noize, real name Alexander Ridha. They first worked together in 2024 when Boys Noize reimagined the duo's score for the film Challengers. Last year, they contributed to the soundtrack for TRON: Ares and its remix album, Tron Ares: Divergence. Boys Noize also joined Nine Inch Nails on the UK leg of their Peel It Back tour last summer, performing remixes from a stage in the audience midst. At the tour's final show, Reznor clarified earlier comments about the band's future, stating, 'That doesn’t mean we may not tour again.' Meanwhile, drummer Ilan Rubin left Nine Inch Nails for Foo Fighters last year, with Josh Freese taking his place. Rubin described the switch as 'an obvious great fit.' The Nine Inch Noize set is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, on Coachella's Sahara stage.
