Officials deny ICC warrant for Bong Go

Former Senator Antonio Trillanes and several government agencies have refuted claims that the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against Senator Christopher Bong Go.

Trillanes stated on Thursday that no ICC warrant has been issued for anyone. He advised against believing the claim made by Davao City Representative Paolo Duterte.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla suggested that Duterte may have been misinformed. He described such statements as dangerous.

The Department of Justice and the Philippine National Police confirmed they have received no official communication from the ICC. Go said he would leave the matter to God and maintained that he has not broken any laws.
