Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, Oromia President Shumelis Abdisa, and National Bank Governor Eyob Tekalgn visited development works and inaugurated projects in Wellega zones of Oromia region on the same day. Projects including the Busa Gonofa integrated food industry complex and Geter Corridor development were highlighted as key for agro-industry, job creation, and economic growth.

On Yekatit 12, 2018 (Fana BC), high-ranking officials visited development works in Wellega zones of Oromia region. Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, at the inauguration of the Busa Gonofa integrated food industry complex, stated that the project, costing 30 billion Birr, is a key to solving problems. It will process cotton and other products to improve farmers' income and create jobs for many youth.

Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh, after inspecting development works in Wellega zones, said they serve sectors like agriculture, mining, industry, and tourism, and are showcases that can change the country. The area, previously unstable, is now peaceful with residents engaged in work.

National Bank Governor Dr. Eyob Tekalgn noted that Wellega's development demonstrates conceptual maturity and goal-oriented study. He highlighted the Tullo Kap gold development project as a major initiative linked to Benishangul, attracting foreign investment.

Oromia President Ato Shumelis Abdisa, at the Busa Gonofa project, said it prepares a chapter for seeing other countries' hand, meaning export readiness. He mentioned the region's achievements: over 20,000 boora boru schools, over 660 community pharmacies, and over 7,300 kebele administration offices.

The Prime Minister, visiting the Geter Corridor development in East Wellega's Made Jallela kebele, stated that the marathon farm work to change farmers' and pastoralists' lives is expanding nationwide. It features modern solar power, biogas systems, animal sheds, irrigation sections, and green areas. Unity, cooperation, and diligence in work build the nation.
