Olov Ersbjörs, a 7-year-old from Vansbro, won the Läsrörelse comic drawing contest themed around superpowers. In his series, Super Parrot sprays rainbows to make people kind.
Finding a good superpower was the hardest part and took several weeks, Olov said. "I don't know why I chose a parrot but since a parrot is rainbow-colored it should have rainbow powers," he explained. He drew about one panel per day to complete it.
The win has not slowed his drawing. Mom Therese says he now creates many drawings with speech bubbles at home. For next year's contest on the theme of games, he has an idea involving a Switch 2 game but is keeping details secret.
