Parents in Uppsala receive support to prevent youth exclusion

Erikshjälpen Framtidsverkstad is expanding support for parents in several Uppsala neighborhoods to help prevent children and young people from falling into exclusion and crime.

The organization is arranging cafés, outings, community information and study circles for parents and children in Gränby, Kvarngärdet and Löten.

Operations coordinator Sarah Campbell says the efforts target areas facing challenges or growing needs for support.

“We can contribute with community and a meeting place, and we can be a source of information that tips about other support measures,” she said.

The aim is to build connections that strengthen families and reduce the risk of children going astray.
