PBNU receives six international students through Civilization Scholarship

The Nahdlatul Ulama central board welcomed six students from six countries through the Beasiswa Peradaban program on Wednesday.

The scholarship recipients come from Afghanistan, Algeria, Nigeria, Tanzania, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. They will pursue undergraduate and master's studies at Universitas KH Abdul Chalim in Mojokerto after an orientation in Jakarta.

The program is a collaboration between PBNU and Baznas RI managed by NU Scholarship. It aims to introduce moderate Islam in the Nahdlatul Ulama tradition and expand international academic networks.

PBNU Lakpesdam secretary Ufi Ulfiah expressed hope that the students make the most of the opportunity to understand NU Islamic traditions. Baznas education and da'wah division head Farid Septian stressed that education serves as a long-term investment for future leaders.
