Singer-actor Piyush Mishra revealed on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast that he had an extra-marital affair despite being married. He said it took him 10-15 years after marriage to realize his mistakes and become a good husband. His wife Priya forgave him after his confession.
Piyush Mishra, known for films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Tamasha, recently opened up about his personal life. On Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, he confessed to having an affair with another woman despite being married. He stated, "Now I have become a good husband. Earlier, I was not like that. At that time, I was not responsible at all."
Mishra discussed his marriage in his youth. He fell in love with Priya at age 20, when there is no logic or thought. But later, he saw her only as the mother of his children and homemaker. "It took me about 10-15 years to understand this. Earlier, I did not consider Priya my wife. She was just a woman for me who gave birth to my children, cooked food, and managed the house."
Vipassana meditation over recent years brought realization. He told his wife about the affair. "When I realized my mistakes, one day I sat with her and told her everything I had done. We both were crying. After that, our minds felt lighter."
Priya had eloped with him against her parents' wishes. He said, "She used to say that I will never divorce you, no matter what you do. It was her greatness that she kept the marriage intact."
