Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for New Delhi on Thursday after concluding his two-nation visit to France and Slovakia.
Modi addressed the Indian diaspora in Paris and said India is emerging as a trusted partner to the world. He stressed the growing ties with France and said both countries will cooperate in areas such as defence, space and AI.
Modi spoke at VivaTech 2026 and advocated for the democratisation of technology. He noted that half of global digital transactions take place in India.
Modi met CEOs of French companies including Rodolphe Saade of CMA CGM and Benoit Bazin of Saint-Gobain. They discussed investment and expansion plans in India.
Macron greeted Modi in Hindi at the inauguration of Bharat Innovates 2026. Modi held meetings with several world leaders on the margins of the G7 Summit.
