Persija Jakarta announced the signing of Indonesia national team left-back Pratama Arhan for the 2026/2027 season on Monday night.
Arhan signed a three-season contract. He had previously been released by Bangkok United after joining in January 2025 and recording 15 appearances.
Persija president Mohamad Prapanca said Arhan possesses the quality, experience, and mentality required. "Pratama Arhan is a player who has the quality, experience, and mentality that we need to strengthen the squad this season," he said.
Arhan described the move as a special opportunity. "This is a very special opportunity for me to join Persija. Returning to the homeland, meeting old friends again, and working again with a coach I already know," he said.
National team teammates reacted. Justin Hubner wrote "Wow" with a heart emoji, Maarten Paes sent a clapping emoji, while Egy Maulana Vikri and Asnawi Mangkualam gave fire emojis.
