Prime Minister Abiy highlights collective work to preserve Ethiopia's heritage

Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed stated that collective efforts aim to reveal, conserve, and build upon Ethiopia's heritage for future generations. During his visit to Bale Zone, he highlighted the impressive fingerprint heritage plateau.

Addis Ababa, Tikimt 9, 2018 (EC) Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, along with various administration officials, concluded his visit in Bale Zone at the impressive fingerprint heritage plateau.

In a message posted on his social media, he noted that over the past three days of the tour, previous administrations and current officials discussed significant developments in natural, cultural, and human resources. “We know Ethiopia has wealth sufficient for all; our collective work is to reveal these heritages, conserve them, and by building upon them, lay a foundation for our future generations to progress steadily,” stated the Prime Minister.

This plateau, descending from Grma towards the Sofa Umar waterfall system of the Weyib River, serves as a habitat for the Ethiopian red fox and blue wolf. It recently hosted a wildebeest herd, features a Raffa hippo den, and with an upcoming runway construction in the area, it will become even more scenic and comfortable for tourists, as assured.

Affirming Ethiopia as a land abundantly rich in heritage, he called on the people to populate, farm, and collectively build their future.
