Production wraps on Edoardo Ponti's The Wedding Dress

Production has finished in Bucharest on The Wedding Dress, the new World War II romance from writer-director Edoardo Ponti. The film stars Ivanna Sakhno and follows a true story of love in a refugee camp.

Production on the film wrapped this week in Bucharest, Romania. Ponti co-wrote the script with Victoria Rose.

The story centers on two young survivors who fall in love and plan to marry. The bride faces a choice between her family in America and staying with her partner.

Ponti said the tale reflects courage and difficult choices amid post-war darkness. He noted its message of love offers hope today.

The Wedding Dress is Ponti's first feature since the 2020 film The Life Ahead. Envision Media Arts produced it with Lee Nelson, Ponti, David Buelow and David Tish as producers.
