Remedy releases Control Ultimate Edition on iPhone and iPad

Remedy Entertainment launched Control Ultimate Edition for iPhone and iPad on April 22. The port features custom touch controls, updated interface and mechanics, and ray tracing support on compatible devices. Priced at $4.99, it includes all original content from the 2019 release.

Remedy Entertainment brought its 2019 action-adventure game Control to mobile devices with the Ultimate Edition, available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. The developer reworked the title specifically for touchscreens, implementing custom controls and adjusting the in-game UI, aiming mechanics, and puzzles for optimal play on these devices. Remedy confirmed the changes aim to deliver a smooth experience despite the game's demanding nature as a triple-A title. The edition also supports ray tracing on hardware capable of it, a notable feature for recent iPhone and iPad models. This port follows teases from last year and comes ahead of Control Resonant, Remedy's upcoming sequel set in a supernatural-warped Manhattan, slated for release later this year. Control Ultimate Edition bundles all previously released content and is offered at an accessible $4.99 price point. Remedy's efforts highlight ongoing support for the original game, which earned praise for its luxurious and uncanny atmosphere in the Oldest House setting.
