Former pitcher Roger Clemens met with Milwaukee Brewers players and staff during a weekend series against the Houston Astros. He spoke to the team and held private conversations with several pitchers.
Clemens visited on Friday and addressed the Brewers before batting practice. He also met individually with pitchers including Brandon Woodruff and Brandon Sproat. Woodruff, who is recovering from shoulder inflammation, described the encounter as inspiring. 'It was the coolest thing ever,' he said. 'This dude is the epitome of starting pitching.' Sproat called the session special and noted Clemens's focus on physical and mental preparation. Manager Pat Murphy highlighted Sproat's willingness to learn from the experience. Other players such as Grant Anderson and David Hamilton also interacted with Clemens during the visit.
