Sumatra Post-Disaster Acceleration Task Force for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction reports progress in permanent (huntap) and temporary (huntara) housing as of April 3, 2026. A total of 230 huntap units completed out of 35,368 planned, while huntara reached 17,084 units or 89 percent of the target. Waiting housing funds have also been fully disbursed to 14,021 recipients.
The Sumatra Post-Disaster Acceleration Task Force for Rehabilitation and Reconstruction is speeding up permanent housing (huntap) and temporary housing (huntara) construction in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra to provide decent shelter for hydrometeorological disaster survivors.
As of April 3, 2026, 230 huntap units are completed out of 35,368 planned, with 1,240 under construction. In Aceh, 104 finished from 26,418 planned and 395 in progress; North Sumatra 120 from 5,690 and 404 in progress; West Sumatra 6 from 3,260 and 441 in progress. Huntara totals 17,084 units from 19,135 target (89 percent): Aceh 15,259 from 17,281 (88 percent), North Sumatra 995 from 1,024 (97 percent), West Sumatra 830 from 830 (100 percent).
The task force disbursed Waiting Housing Funds (DTH) of Rp600,000 per month for 3 months (Rp1.8 million total per family head) to 14,021 recipients at 100 percent: Aceh 8,099, North Sumatra 4,162, West Sumatra 1,760.
In Dusun Pante Geulima, Desa Meunasah Lhok, Mereudu District, Pidie Jaya, Aceh, residents collaborated with government and BPBD for cleanup on April 2, 2026. Ahlul Fikri said the synergy, supported by diaspora donations, accelerates recovery. Halimah noted the work provides daily wages aiding daily needs.
