SoftBank plans to make large-scale batteries for AI data centers

SoftBank Corp. announced plans to partner with South Korean firms to produce large-scale batteries for AI data centers, with mass production targeted for the fiscal year starting next April.

SoftBank Corp. will work with Cosmos Lab and DeltaX to develop the batteries.

The company said the partnership aims to support growing demand from AI infrastructure.

Mass production is scheduled to begin in the fiscal year starting April 2027.
