Son Heung-min puts team ahead of records at World Cup

South Korea captain Son Heung-min said he is focusing on team success rather than personal records ahead of his fourth World Cup.

Son Heung-min spoke to reporters at the Zions Bank Training Center in Herriman, Utah, on Tuesday. He has three World Cup goals, tied for the South Korean record.

The 33-year-old LAFC forward said, "If I put the team above all else, then goals will naturally follow." He added that he feels physically great this season despite no league goals.

South Korea reached the round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Son stressed the importance of daily preparation and attention to detail.
