The animated series Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord ended its first season with an unexpected clash between Darth Maul and Darth Vader. The finale aired recently on Disney+ and featured the Sith Lord as a silent force of terror.
The series follows Maul after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars as he attempts to rebuild his empire amid the rise of the Galactic Empire. In the finale episode titled The Dark Lord, Maul faces Darth Vader in combat for the first time on screen. Maul narrowly escapes after sacrificing Jedi Master Eeko-Dio Daki to the cyborg Sith Lord.
