Three Forshaga players sign with Enköping after team closure

Forshaga IF's decision to disband its senior team has led three players to join Enköping in Hockeyettan. The moves were confirmed shortly after the club's financial difficulties became public in early June.

Enköping has signed forwards Karl Andersson and Gustav Ling along with defenseman Felix Söderlund. The club finished 14th in Hockeyettan Norra last season.

Karl Andersson, 22, brings experience from 45 games in the Hockeyallsvenskan with Västerås. Gustav Ling, 20, played his first senior season with Forshaga after progressing through Färjestad's junior system. Felix Söderlund, also 22, played 130 matches for Forshaga over four seasons after being developed in Leksand.

Christian Nordenberg, spokesperson for Enköping's sports council, said the players bring character and quality. He added that their development together makes their transition interesting to follow.

The signings come after Forshaga IF informed players they could seek new clubs following the shutdown of its A-team due to economic strain.
