Unguarded railway crossing in Orsa closed permanently

The unguarded pedestrian crossing over the railway in central Orsa is being permanently closed. Inlandsbanan states that the passage does not meet current safety requirements.

Work to remove the old fence has already begun. A stronger fence will be installed around the area to prevent crossing.

The decision comes from Inlandsbanan which manages the railway line. Mora Tidning first reported on the measure.

The closure is carried out to improve safety at the railway in Orsa.
