The Wartburg College Knights men's track and field team is set to compete at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, on March 13 and 14. Recent rankings and qualifier performances highlight the team's strength heading into the event. Several athletes bring prior All-American experience to the meet.
The Wartburg Knights men's track and field program recently climbed to No. 4 in the seventh USTFCCCA indoor poll, while the women's team rose to No. 7, as announced on March 10, 2026. National qualifiers for the championships were revealed on March 8, following the team's efforts at the final qualifier meet on March 6 and 7.
At that event, the Knights secured victories in eight events on the second day and completed the first day with wins in the women's distance medley relay and by Grace Braden in her event.
The championships will feature several Knights with All-American credentials:
- Sobaski, a two-time All-American in the DMR;
- Tyynismaa, a two-time All-American in the 60m hurdles;
- Meyer, a two-time All-American in the DMR;
- Edney, who earned All-American honors in the 800m last season;
- Braden, who earned All-American honors in the 60m hurdles last season;
- Tyynismaa, who earned All-American honors in the 4x400m in 2024;
- Tollari, who earned All-American honors in the DMR in 2024.
These achievements position the Knights as competitive participants in the Birmingham meet.
