Athena Calderone unveils debut furniture collection in New York

Athena Calderone has launched her first standalone furniture line, Assembler I, at The Future Perfect gallery in New York. The 14-piece collection draws from her experience designing a Tribeca apartment and incorporates French Art Deco influences with modern practicality.

The collection features high-gloss wood, lacquer, parchment, and nickel accents across tables, chairs, screens, and lamps. Calderone sourced vegetable-based parchment during a trip to Kyoto, which also inspired her earlier wallpaper line. Pieces include the sinuously carved Courbe side table and a dining chair upholstered in Prelle brocade.
