Egypt's health minister met with the president of Samsung Electronics Egypt to explore partnership opportunities in medical training and digital healthcare.
Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, met with Byung-Mo Shin, President of Samsung Electronics Egypt, on 8 July 2026. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in medical training, digital transformation, and upgrading training infrastructure.
Abdel Ghaffar stated that the ministry aims to work with international companies to improve medical education and adopt digital solutions that enhance healthcare quality. The ministry described the meeting as part of efforts to build private sector partnerships.
The talks included plans to support the Princess Fatima Professional Medical Education Centre with a new advanced training facility. They also reviewed upgrades to the ministry’s crisis management room to meet international standards.
Senior officials from the Ministry of Health and Population, Samsung Electronics Egypt, and Asma Group attended the meeting.
