Epic Games forms new team to enhance Fortnite stability

Epic Games has introduced a dedicated development team to address bugs and improve the player experience in Fortnite following the launch of Chapter 7. The team, announced by design director Ted Timmins, will prioritize player feedback and implement quality-of-life updates. This permanent addition aims to resolve ongoing issues more efficiently.

The recent launch of Fortnite Chapter 7 introduced a new island, additional features, cosmetics, the Winterfest event, and notable collaborations, marking a largely successful update. However, it also surfaced significant bugs that have persisted across recent patches, where new content often accompanies unresolved issues.

To tackle these challenges, Epic Games has established a new multi-discipline live-ops strike team. According to Ted Timmins, Fortnite's design director, this group meets daily to focus on player feedback and execute improvements. "We have already taken steps to setup a multi-discipline live-ops strike team that are meeting daily, prioritising feedback, and taking actions to improve player experience and new Quality of life Updates," Timmins stated. He emphasized the team's permanence within the development structure, expressing optimism about upcoming results, though acknowledging it may not address every problem immediately.

This initiative responds to the game's history of bugs replacing one another with each update. Players can anticipate major fixes in the coming weeks, enhancing overall stability and user experience without disrupting the influx of new content.
