Gilas Pilipinas lost 92-49 to Australia on July 6 in Perth, ending the first round of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers with a 2-4 record.

It's tough to gauge Gilas vs a world power like Australia but it's apparent that the core of the team will consist of Juan, Dwight, Kq, Tamayo, Qmb, Edu and Phillips. Hopefully, Ange Kouame can already be classified as a local by Fiba. Only 28, his 6'11 frame will be of big help.
