Opposition leaders joined activist Sonam Wangchuk on the 19th day of his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar on Thursday.

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has been on an indefinite fast since June 28, 2026, at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He joined a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET-UG paper leak row.

On July 16 the Delhi High Court stated that the life of any citizen is precious and whatever medical intervention is needed should be provided.
