Ryan Nichols, a Texas man pardoned by President Donald Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, was arrested Sunday and charged with deadly conduct after allegedly threatening a churchgoer with a pistol.
The 36-year-old Nichols confronted a man over a prior disagreement in the parking lot of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Harleton, according to the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. He allegedly raised his shirt to display the firearm and placed his hand on the grip in a threatening manner while the victim tried to de-escalate and move his family to safety. The victim was holding a Bible and unarmed at the time.
