Indonesia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, echoed this, confirming no disruptions to preparations for Indonesian pilgrims.
Jakarta and Surabaya – Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amudi, stated at a press conference at his residence on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, that the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage remains safe. “Kerajaan Arab Saudi Alhamdulillah sampai saat ini tetap aman,” he said, quoted by ANTARA. He added, “Bahwa semuanya akan berjalan dengan lancar,” despite geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Earlier, on March 13, Faisal noted that Hajj preparations were proceeding smoothly without significant obstacles. “Insya Allah persiapan berjalan lancar, sesuai dengan rencana dan insya Allah tidak ada dampak apa pun,” he said. The Saudi government confirmed flights to Saudi Arabia will carry pilgrims on schedule and urged Indonesians not to worry. Meanwhile, Indonesia's Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf assured on Tuesday (March 24, 2026) in Surabaya after a Badan Pengelola Keuangan Haji event that Indonesian pilgrims' departure on April 22, 2026, remains on track. “Sampai saat ini masih sesuai dengan jadwal. Mudah-mudahan hingga pemberangkatan pada 22 April nanti tidak ada perubahan,” he said. Preparations for accommodation, transportation, and funding are ready, with direct flights to Saudi Arabia unaffected. “Kami melihat tidak ada penghentian penerbangan. Masih ada direct flight ke Arab Saudi. Mudah-mudahan tetap aman,” he added. Indonesia maintains close communication with Saudi Arabia's Hajj Ministry, which reports no schedule changes. The elderly pilgrim quota stays at 5 percent of the total, and Umrah operations are also ensured safe.
