Therabody launches CryoTherm Palm recovery device

Therabody has introduced the CryoTherm Palm, a compact handheld device that provides both cooling and heating therapy for athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The three-in-one tool is designed to aid recovery during workouts through palm cooling technology.

The device resembles a dumbbell and features dual-sided heating and cooling functions along with a built-in stopwatch. It reaches the desired temperature within seconds using cryothermal technology. Therabody developed the product in collaboration with the University of Southern California. Tests on Division I track and field athletes showed that using the device between sets of overhead presses increased total work volume by 28 percent and allowed 58 percent more repetitions. The cooling function has three levels to lower core body temperature and reduce swelling. The heating option offers three settings to improve circulation and ease soreness, with the ability to combine both for contrast therapy. Priced at 399 dollars, the CryoTherm Palm is available now on the Therabody website. It includes a 30-minute auto shutoff and travel lock for safety.
