Félix León Martínez, director of ADRES, announced a $2 trillion addition to the 2026 health budget during the 'ADRES en las regiones' meeting. Sector resources rose from $100 trillion to $115 trillion over the past year.
During the 'ADRES en las regiones' meeting, León Martínez stated that the $2 trillion addition will supplement the $14.8 trillion already authorized for the health system. The official noted that more resources remain to be allocated this year.
Sector resources now represent 20% of the national budget. León Martínez highlighted this increase in his remarks.
The entity also reported payments for claims from traffic accidents without SOAT in Bogotá, Cundinamarca and Boyacá, including specific amounts disbursed over the past three years.
