Al-Sisi reaffirms Egypt’s support for Kuwait’s security in Cairo meeting

In separate talks, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held political consultations with his Kuwaiti counterpart, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation and aligning positions on regional and international developments. They emphasized boosting economic ties in infrastructure, real estate, industry, and energy, as well as trilateral opportunities in Africa. Both hope to convene the 14th session of the joint Egyptian-Kuwaiti committee before year-end.

The discussions addressed efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and US-Iran negotiations, underscoring the need to address Gulf states’ security concerns. Abdelatty briefed his counterpart on his recent Washington visit and a quadrilateral meeting in Antalya involving foreign ministers from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Türkiye. The sides highlighted the importance of joint Arab action to preserve regional stability amid geopolitical uncertainty.
