Avianca to transport over 50 Colombian athletes via Silla E

Avianca announced it will transport over 50 Colombian athletes selected from 188 individual and group applications using its Silla E platform. Trips are scheduled from February to December 2026, covering competitions in disciplines such as skating, fencing, triathlon, athletics, artistic gymnastics, and BMX.

The athletes hail from regions including Antioquia, Risaralda, San Andrés y Providencia, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca, and Boyacá. Avianca will provide 100 tickets to support their participation in international events.

Felipe Andrés Gómez Vivas, Avianca's vice president of public affairs and sustainability, stated: “we believe talent needs real opportunities to reach high. These over 50 Colombian athletes just need opportunities to compete, succeed, and show their potential. At Avianca, we support them”.

Athletes like Mariana Escobar, a roller hockey player heading to Asunción, Paraguay, expressed thanks: “thank you very much for this significant and special benefit for us athletes”. Diego Acevedo, bound for Buenos Aires, added: “this support not only brings me closer to new competitions but also allows me to keep inspiring more people”.
