CAPTEX to expand sports manufacturing capacity in Egypt

Egyptian company CAPTEX is expanding its production of sports equipment and supplies. Government ministers visited its facilities to review progress and plans. The move supports efforts to boost local manufacturing and cut reliance on imports.

Ministers of State for Military Production, Youth and Sports, and Industry toured CAPTEX facilities on Sunday. They inspected artificial turf production lines and a showroom displaying locally made sports items.

Salah Gamblat said the firm is preparing a strategic expansion to raise output and adopt advanced technologies. He stressed that private sector partnerships help transfer expertise and add value to the economy.

Gohar Nabil noted that cooperation with military production has already supported stadium upgrades and youth centres. Khaled Hashem said the work aligns with national goals for industrial growth and exports.
