Singer Dani Fernández suffered a right shoulder ligament tear after falling from the stage during his second concert at Valencia's Roig Arena on Saturday night. The show paused for 20 minutes; he returned with a sling and finished it before undergoing surgery on Sunday. The artist thanked medical staff and fans in a social media video.
Dani Fernández caused a scare during his second concert on the La Insurrección Tour at Valencia's Roig Arena, before a packed crowd. About 80 minutes in, around 22:00, the singer fell from a high point on the two-level stage while wearing his guitar slung over his shoulder, between songs.
The venue's medical team attended to him immediately, pausing the show for about 20 minutes. Screens displayed messages to reassure the audience, and Fernández returned with his right shoulder bandaged and in a sling, completing the performance as planned. He was then taken to a Valencia hospital, where doctors confirmed the ligament tear and scheduled urgent surgery for Sunday.
In a video from the hospital posted on social media, the artist said: «I have a ligament tear in the shoulder; they'll have to operate urgently tomorrow. We don't know how the recovery will be, but it could have been worse; I'm fine». He thanked the medical team for their quick action and fans for their messages, joking: «It could have been a better night».
The Roig Arena's official account praised his professionalism: «Thanks, Dani Fernández, for giving everything to finish the concert. You're HUGE!». Víctor Sendra, the general director, told Europa Press he showed an «admirable attitude» and they wish him a quick recovery to return soon.
