Kansas guard Darryn Peterson has attributed his season-long cramping issues to high-dose creatine supplementation. The revelation comes as he remains in contention for the top spot in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Peterson told ESPN that medical testing after the season showed his baseline creatine levels were already elevated before he added the supplement. He said the combination pushed levels into an unsafe range and triggered full-body cramps that required hospitalization for IV fluids during preseason conditioning.
