Vehicle movement to and from Illah in Delta State has been disrupted after the Illah-Ugbolu Road collapsed. Several vehicles including Dangote trucks were stranded on Tuesday.
The collapse has cut off access through the Ugbolu axis. Commuters remain stranded and some vehicles are stuck in failed sections of the road.
Resident Molokwu Azuka said the road has completely failed beyond ordinary repairs. He described the situation as a humanitarian and economic crisis affecting farmers, traders, students, civil servants, patients and emergency responders.
Azuka appealed to the Delta State Government to declare the Illah-Ugbolu Road an emergency project and begin urgent rehabilitation work.
