On the June 21, 2026, presidential runoff voting day, gatherings were reported in Bogotá and mobility complaints emerged in Barranquilla.
Voting proceeded normally in most cities across the country. The only reported incident was a boat carrying electoral materials catching fire in Nechí, Bajo Cauca, due to mechanical failure.
In Bogotá, the PMU reported crowds on Calle 45 and Carrera 7A near the Museo Nacional as polls closed. Several TransMilenio routes were diverted due to the gatherings.
Transport Minister María Fernanda Rojas announced that the Superintendencia de Transporte will investigate mobility complaints in southern Barranquilla. President Gustavo Petro pointed to possible sabotage of traffic lights and transport in lower-income areas.
