Tuesday June 30 marked the deadline to activate the $27,000 Liquefied Gas Coupon for vulnerable households. More than 5 million have completed the process out of 7.6 million eligible.
Interior Subsecretary Máximo Pavez urged the 2.6 million pending households to complete the process before 23:59 on June 30. "If you do not activate your gas coupon today, you will lose this benefit," he said.
The benefit is part of the Chile Sale Adelante plan and aims to mitigate fuel price increases. Coupons activated on the final day will be available from July 21 and usable until September 30, 2026.
Official figures show 5,044,740 households have activated the coupon out of 7,672,521 eligible. The process is done at cupondegas.gob.cl with Clave Única and the coupon can be presented digitally or printed at affiliated distributors.
