MINVU shares details on new DS1 subsidy tranche for homes up to 4,000 UF

Housing Undersecretary Natalia Aguilar said the current DS1 Tramo 3 subsidy call closes on June 30 and a new tranche for homes up to 4,000 UF will open in the second half of the year.

Housing Undersecretary Natalia Aguilar detailed that the current DS1 Tramo 3 subsidy allows applications for homes up to 2,200 UF. Families must have a housing savings account at least 12 months old with a minimum of 80 UF saved. The subsidy provided ranges between 250 and 400 UF.

Aguilar announced that the 4,000 tranche will be implemented during the second half of the year. It will allow homes up to 4,000 UF, require savings of up to 200 UF and deliver a subsidy of up to 400 UF. The difference will be completed with a mortgage loan or other tools such as state guarantees.

The official explained that the measure responds to rising home prices and aims to support middle-class families who fall outside traditional subsidies. Applications for the current call are made with Clave Única through the MINVU website.
