Gus Miftah named in railway project corruption trial hearing

Preacher Gus Miftah was named during a corruption trial hearing for the Solo-Semarang double-track railway project at the Semarang Tipikor Court on 13 July 2026.

The public prosecutor revealed an alleged Rp100 million fund flow to Gus Miftah while examining witness and former commitment-making official Dheki Martin. The case involves inactive Pati Regent Sudewo.

The Corruption Eradication Commission stated it will further examine the trial facts. KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said every witness statement will be analyzed to determine case development.

To date Gus Miftah has not provided an official response regarding the allegation. The trial continues without a final legal ruling.
