Icann öppnar för egna domännamn efter 14 år

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers har börjat ta emot ansökningar för nya toppdomäner. Detta innebär den första möjligheten på 14 år för privatpersoner och organisationer att säkra anpassade internetadresser.

Icann öppnade ansökningsfönstret den 9 maj. Processen ger användare en sällsynt chans att äga en del av internets domänsystem genom anpassade toppdomäner.
