The Industrial Development Authority (IDA) announced the launch of 414 fully equipped industrial units ready for immediate operations across 12 industrial complexes in 11 governorates. This move supports the Ministry of Industry's efforts to localize manufacturing and bolster domestic supply chains.

The units are located in zones including Bayad Al Arab, West Girga, Hou, Arab Al Awamer, Al Matahra, Merghem 2, Al Baghdadi, Metal and Concrete Complex, Al Genena, Al Shobak, Sadat, and El Mahalla El Kubra. Sizes range from 48 sqm to 792 sqm, covering sectors such as food processing, engineering, chemicals, plastics, textiles, building materials, metals, pharmaceuticals, and leather.

Nahed Youssef, IDA Chairperson, stated the units offer "flexible options for small investors and entrepreneurs seeking ready-to-operate industrial spaces with minimal start-up requirements." They are available for ownership or leasing, with incentives like simplified licensing and financing from the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency.

Applications open online via the Egypt Digital Industrial Platform from April 5 to 19, 2026, including technical and marketing support. Youssef emphasized that supporting small-scale industries is key to balanced regional development, integration between manufacturers, and reducing import reliance.
