National Police arrest nine more Osasuna ultras over El Sadar incidents

Spain's National Police have arrested nine more men from the Indar Gorri group in the past few hours over disturbances in February at El Sadar stadium after the Osasuna-Real Madrid match. This brings the total number of detainees to 13, with one more person under investigation. All face charges of public disorder and assault on an authority agent.

Spain's National Police reported the arrest of nine men from various Navarran municipalities, all linked to the Indar Gorri collective, responsible for the clashes at El Sadar stadium on February 21.

The disturbances started when Osasuna's private security tried to identify a spectator who threw a bottle onto the pitch, endangering the match. A group attempted to prevent the identification, prompting a call for police support to protect the guards.

After the match ended, police evacuated the stadium to ease tensions. However, outside, around 30 members of the Graderío Sur threw heavy objects and rubbish bins at three officers, blocking an exit door and requiring aid for the affected agents.

In March, four people had already been detained for the same incidents inside the stadium. The operation, now closed, aimed to identify those behind the unrest.
