More than 2,000 Papuan people from the Jabodetabek area filled the Graha Marinir Building in Central Jakarta for a Christmas celebration organized by the Papuan Family Harmony on December 13, 2025. The event was initially planned for 1,000 attendees, but high enthusiasm led to a packed venue. The celebration highlighted brotherhood and solidarity among migrants.

The Christmas celebration organized by the Papuan Family Harmony (KK PAPUA) at the Graha Marinir Building in Central Jakarta on Saturday, December 13, 2025, brought joy and meaning to Papuan migrants. Over 2,000 Papuan residents from Jabodetabek attended, exceeding the initial estimate of 1,000, demonstrating strong fraternal spirit amid life away from home.

KK PAPUA General Chairman, Paul Finsen Mayor, also known as Senator PFM and Chairman of the Papuan Customary Council for Region III Doberay, expressed gratitude for the attendees. "This is the inaugural Christmas celebration for KK PAPUA. However, the enthusiasm is extraordinary, with participants far beyond our expectations. As Papuans, I invite everyone to continue maintaining harmony among fellow Papuans and to keep supporting fair, dignified, and sustainable development in Papua," he said.

Paul Finsen Mayor also extended special thanks to Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka for hundreds of Christmas gifts for Papuan children. "Thank you to Mr. Vice President for the Christmas packages for our children, which we have distributed. Everyone feels happy and joyful," he added. Appreciation was also given to the Governor of DKI Jakarta and the Mayor of Bekasi for sending representatives, with hopes for further collaboration.

Paul hopes KK PAPUA will grow into a large organization across Indonesia, not only accommodating Papuan migrants but also bringing blessings to Papua and the nation. Yanni, a member of the Executive Committee for Accelerating Special Autonomy Development in Papua, praised Paul Finsen Mayor's initiative in gathering migrants in Jakarta and surrounding areas.

The event strengthened solidarity and served as a moment to support sustainable development in Papua.
