PCE-inflationen stiger till 3,8 procent i april

Handelsdepartementet rapporterade på torsdagen att Federal Reserves föredragna inflationsmått steg till en årlig takt på 3,8 procent i april. Siffran markerar den tredje månaden i rad med ökningar och ligger fortfarande långt över centralbankens mål på 2 procent.

Inflationen för privata konsumtionsutgifter steg från 2,8 procent i februari till 3,5 procent i mars för att sedan nå 3,8 procent i april. Kärn-PCE, som exkluderar livsmedel och energi, ökade till 3,3 procent, vilket är den högsta nivån sedan slutet av 2023. Sparkvoten för privatpersoner sjönk till 2,6 procent från 3,6 procent i mars.
