Prateek Yadav, son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, died in Lucknow on May 13. The postmortem report attributes his death to massive pulmonary thromboembolism.
Prateek Yadav had been battling deep vein thrombosis for five years. On May 1 he chose to leave the ICU against medical advice to return home.
His wife Aparna Yadav announced that the last rites will be performed on May 14 at 11 a.m. at Baikunth Dham in Lucknow. The postmortem report makes no mention of steroids.
According to the report, death resulted from cardiorespiratory failure caused by a blood clot in the lungs. Bruises on the body appeared deeper due to blood-thinner medication.
