In the second half, PSIM took the initiative. At the 49th minute, Nermin Haljeta scored the opener by capitalizing on Ezequiel Vidal's pass, making it 1-0. PSIM nearly added another through Vidal, but it was disallowed for offside.

PSIM's lead extended in the 59th minute when the referee awarded a penalty after Henhen Herdiana fouled Anton Fase in the box. The foul earned Herdiana a second yellow card and ejection, leaving Persik with 10 players. Ze Valente converted the penalty past goalkeeper Leo Navacchio, putting the score at 2-0 in the 61st minute.

Persik responded quickly. In the 63rd minute, Ezra Walian scored from Mohammad Khanafi's assist, narrowing the gap to 2-1. PSIM then lost a player in the 85th minute as Vidal received a second yellow for fouling Khurshidbek Mukhtorov.

In the remaining time, Persik pushed to equalize, but PSIM's defense held firm. Statistically, PSIM dominated possession at 55 percent, while Persik attempted 15 shots. The win propelled PSIM to third place with 18 points from 10 matches, while Persik remained 11th with 11 points, per I.League records.

The squad under coach Jean-Paul van Gastel has returned to the top three in the interim standings.
